The Pushkin State History and Literary Museum-Reserve in the estates of Zakharovo and Vyazemy near Moscow is a unique place called the poetic homeland of the great Russian poet. It was here, in the atmosphere of his grandmother's estate, that his views were formed and his creative genius was born.
The museum is actively engaged in educational activities: in addition to excursions and exhibitions, musical evenings, Pushkin balls, young poet contests and the international children's drawing contest "Pushkin through the eyes of Children" are regularly held here. Interactive programs are organized for children, reviving the games of the Pushkin era.
The scientific life of the reserve is full: annual conferences, lectures, publications. The museum is based on the richest collections, which contain authentic objects of the estate culture of the XVII–XIX centuries, making this place a real treasure trove of Russian history and literature.
1. Усадьбы Вязёмы и Захарово — одни из красивейших мест Подмосковья, в достатке наполненные историей.
2. В этих местах провел свое детство великий русский поэт А.С. Пушкин, отсюда происходят многие его произведения: Барышня-Крестьянка, Дубровский, Борис Годунов, Евгений Онегин и др.
3. В усадьбе Вязёмы во время войны 1812 г. с разницей в один день ночевали Михаил Кутузов и Наполеон Бонапарт.
4. Хозяева усадьбы Вязёмы стали многими прототипами героев пушкинских произведений.
5. В Вязёмах и Захарове ежегодно проводятся крупные фестивали: «Поэт», «Пушкинский праздник», «Традиция» собирающие десятки тысяч гостей.
